 | I am searching for my ancestors which I know to be Native American, some German and African/Black. I, the youngest of four siblings and the oldest have been trying to find information on our great grandparents on both my father and mother's sides of the families. It has been difficult because on both side they are Native American and we have been told that on my mother's side my greatgrandmother's Dawes documents were lost in a house fire and members of my father's family are hard to find and have passed away. I am not a historian, but I am intrigued by history and all that it tells us about ourselves and how we've progressed over time. I would like to know more about why I look like I do and I'd like to give the gift of family history to my only son. |
