 | I am researching the Cunninghams that lived in S/W Missouri. GGGG-Joseph Cunningham was born in PA. abt. 1786 and married Elizabeth b. abt.1790 N.C. They had a daughter Elizabeth, and a son, William Lewis b.abt.1817 MO. They family from there on down has been fairly well documented. Joseph & Elizabeth are my brick wall. I haven't been able to find where Joseph was from birth until I found him in the Greene Co. MO. in 1834 on an Ag. tax census. One family story states he lived in KY. I have no info on GGGG-Elizabeth. It is my fondest wish to learn more about them. Four generations of farmers lived in the area which is now Garrison, MO.

According to one family member, the Cunninghams were from Ireland. The middle name of Lewis has been passed down to several generations. |
