 | I have been doing family research for about two years. I decided to share my information on the Internet for two reasons: First, to help others, such as yourself; and second, to help myself by allowing other people to contact me.
Much of my time has been devote to breaking through a brick wall. I have been trying to locate the parents of Lyman Kenyon, but to no avail. I feel like I may be all around the solution, but without the document that makes that connection, I might as well be at square one.
There are a number of prominent surnames that occur in this family history. Namely: PHELPS, ANTHONY, BIGELOW, UTTER, and of course KENYON. Two go directly back to ancestors who fought in the American Revolution. One is Barrett Phelps from CT, who died in Cambridge, Washington, NY; the other Ira Bigelow, also from CT and who died in Livingston, NY.
