My name is Linda EBEL and my maiden name was Linda SCHELLACK. I am from Oklahoma but now I live in Oregon. I am researching all people with the last name SCHELLACK. My grandfather was Dr. Carl Louis Alvin SCHELLACK, a medical doctor who immigrated in latter 1880's to the U.S. from Berlin, Germany. His brothers were Emil and Carl SCHELLACK (one other brother who came here also) and one of his two sisters was Bertha Schellack Heinitz who settled in NJ. His father in Germany was York SCHELLACK. Dr. Schellack continued his medical practice in America and married Rose Ann KANZIG whose family was from Switzerland.
