 | My search began in 1983 in order to "find" my birth mother to help my children with a school project. I was able to do so but the project unleashed a passion that I did not know I had.
Researching and finding very distant relatives is a great joy.
My 4 great grandfather Reason Betts had 8 children--6 of them girls. All were out of the house before 1850 and he left no will. My hope is that someday someone will connect with Reason and and his father Andrew Betts (he settled in Crawford County PA in 1800). Most all of my greats came to the same general area during that same time period, so have lots of Western PA and Eastern OH families.
