About Me

Helen is happy to share the history of the historic home "Hewick" and the Robinson family genealogy with you. Her ancestors arrived in Virginia in 1608 & in Middlesex Co., in 1657, and she has been researching genealogy since 1967. Hewick Plantation was featured in "Colonial Williamsburg" magazine, the Journal of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. In the Spring, 1995 issue, pages 34 thru 38. Look for "For gods sake refuse not", by Harold B. Gill, Jr. The last page, features an aerial photo of Hewick Plantation. "Hewick" was sold on (4 January 2005), the new owner will be restoring the grounds and house. Since he is not a Robinson descendant, this is the first time that the property will be out of the hands of a Robinson family member. The home will no longer be operated as a B&B. I enjoyed meeting so many of you when you came to Virginia to see and stay at the Robinson ancestral homeplace.
